TURBINE
“Their sound is exhilarating, with flurries of melodic guitars and wailing harp propelling complex improvisations.” -Relix
“Their music wails, whispers and directs our thoughts to the deeper mysteries of life.” -Americana UK
The overarching sonic identity of this New York City-based quartet was forged over the last five years, starting when it was a tenacious duo comprised of guitarist / singer and primary songwriter Jeremy Hilliard and harmonicist / rhythm guitarist / singer-songwriter Ryan Rightmire. As a duo, Turbine started to experiment in odd time signatures and unorthodox compositional structures as they crafted songs that were both accessible and upbeat, despite their remarkable complexity. Now rounded out with Adam Chilenski on bass and Dale Paddyfote on drums, the band has appeared at such renown festivals as Bonnaroo, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Wakarusa and Gathering Of The Vibes.
TWEED
Tweed inspires and excites through music fueled by high energy performance and improvisation. Just as their namesake fabric of mingling colors and textures, Tweed has interwoven a psychedelic web of funk, rock and electronica. The band was formed at University of Delaware and now calls Philadelphia its stomping ground. Their collaboration can take listeners from multi-layered visions through the psyche to sweaty, raging dance parties driven by their own incessant beat.
“Tweed has become one of the hottest up-and-coming bands, quickly expanding their audience and repertoire… Tweed takes you on a euphoric journey through a wormhole to the future with what they have coined ‘jamchronica.’ Their progressive style mixed with heavy synth effects produces epic, layered jams that any livetronica head is sure to be pulled into.” – HeadSpace Magazine
