National touring DJ/Producer, reaching toward the deepest, moodiest corners of House, Techno & Downtempo. You may know Ben Silver as one-third of Orchard Lounge, the long-running Chicago-based DJ collective. The trio’s all-night tag-team sets blend psychedelic house, deep bass, melodic techno, and other futuristic, ethereal sounds. Orchard Lounge has held residencies at clubs around the country, including Smartbar in Chicago, Vagabond in Miami and Love in New York. They’ve gigged at legendary venues like Red Rocks and Hammerstein Ballroom, and major festivals including Lollapalooza, Coachella and Electric Zoo. They have played alongside such artists as Steve Bug, Nicolas Jaar, Lee Foss, Aeroplane, John Talabot, DJ T, The Black Madonna, Lindstrom, and many others.

Now Ben has been playing as a solo act all across the country. In the fall of 2015 he released the well-received “Solar” and “Lunar” DJ mixes-in October Beatport named “Solar” one of the Top 10 Mixes Of The Month. Throughout 2016 Ben played a number of shows and festivals including Camp Bisco Music Festival in Pennsylvania, Great North Music Festival in Maine, Luna Light Music Festival in Delaware, and Beanstalk Music and Arts Festival in Colorado.

Ben has multiple new original tracks in rotation at his club sets as well as a brand new EP with his song writing partner, David Hammond being prepped for release. He also has just released a brand new moody techno and house DJ mix, “Rayless” as well as a collaboration with the visual artists, 75ohms.

“A deep selector and touring veteran, Silver generally reaches toward the deepest, moodiest corners of house and techno. In his sets, cosmic synth passages pop and glide over squelching acid patterns, dubby basslines, and polished, thumping rhythms that stay below the threshold enough to be tasteful, but still provide heavy enough grooves to keep folks glued to the dance floor.”  – Joel Shanahan at Tone Madison
